Evolve Benton, MA, MFA is speaker and educator with over a decade of experience working with universities, mid to large size tech start ups, and non-profits agencies on transforming their communities through shifting policy, climate and ideology to build equitable, diverse and inclusive environments. Evolve is currently celebrating landing over $10,000 in speaking engagement contracts for the fall of 2020.
Currently, Evolve has the honor to serve as the Equity and Inclusion Manager at UCSF School of Medicine. Evolve is passionate about providing a brave space for future physicians of color to succeed and save lives.
Furthermore, Evolve is the owner of Mar Media, LLC. a media company that brings visibility to the journeys of queer and trans people of color and the people that make their lives incredible. Under Evolve’s leadership Mar Media has produced the following projects: SIR: poetry dedicated to boihood and black queer love, The BOI Doc, SIR Volume 1, a wellness podcast BOI Meets Wellness and the Blaq Film Festival.
As a speaker and event curator, Evolve provides organizations with a framework that challenges participants to embark on action rather than simply learning theory or vocabulary. Evolve realizes the importance of not only fostering diversity and inclusion education but providing opportunities for those who have been harmed, oppressed and unseen by society to heal.
Evolve specializes in motivational speaking, mindfulness, self discovery writing sessions, and life visioning to provide a brave space for workshop participants to build their healing toolkit. Evolve describes themselves as an artistic spirit using creativity and gratitude as a form of liberation.
