On this episode of BOI Meets Wellness, Evolve Benton interviews Chelley Chelle of Les Talk Radio. Chelley Chelle was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She grew up a Jehovah’s Witness, was disfellowshipped at the age of 17. Chelley Chelle attended community college for 10 years, left with no degree but became an expert in networking and building community. She started a comedy career which was very successful very quickly.
Chelley Chelle has performed at the Comedy Store several times, the Laugh Factory and all over the country. After constantly being sexually harassed for stage time, her love for comedy dwindled, and she started Les Talk Radio. Les Talk Radio has connected with thousands of QPOC (Queer People of Color) and black queers. Chelley Chelle advocates for recycling of black queers dollars and has spent over $20,000 of her own hard earned money in the community.
